Standardized Work
What is Standardized Work?
Standardized work is the basis of operations to make correct products in the safest , easiest and most effective way based on the current technologies and formulas.
Three elements of Standardized Work
Standardized work means establishing precise procedures for each operator’s work,
based on three elements:
1. Takt time
2.Work sequence
3.Standard inventory (In-Process stock)
Out of cycle Work
All work elements should be in cycle. Any out of cycle work destroys continuous flow and makes it difficult to maintain efficient and consistent production to takt time.
These tasks may be needed, but they should be given to supporting members, such as team leaders or mizusumashi(material handlers)
